Ferdinand's Guide to Grief, is a 36 minute short film directed by Cami Thomas showcasing the 10 year anniversary of the 2014 Ferguson uprising. Through a lens of poetry, interviews with St. Louis residents (including three siblings of Michael Brown Jr), and music, this piece seeks to humanize the experience of collective grief, and give a blueprint on how to begin the process of transmuting such emotion. This project (first cut) screened at the St. Louis International Film Festival as part of the Ten Years Project. Full project releasing 2025.
